About me
I am a rising senior at School of the Gifted Young, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), majoring in Mathematics with a concentration in Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics.
I am applying for Ph.D. positions starting in Fall 2027. My research interests lie broadly in statistical machine learning and optimization, with an emphasis on the theoretical foundations of modern learning architectures and generative models for structured data. My current work focuses on understanding Transformers as algorithmic learners for high-dimensional unsupervised estimation, and on developing diffusion-based generative models for hypergraphs using latent hyperbolic representations.
My name can be pronounced as “cheen-yen lyoh” and my name in Chinese is 刘沁妍.
